  • Celebrity Crush: Dana Andrews, except when it’s William Holden. Hey, don’t laugh! The odds of you getting your pick aren’t much better!
  • Dream Vacation: It’s a secret.
  • Education: Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies. My first degree.
  • Family: Dad, Mom, sister Rebecca, and others who wish to remain nameless.
  • Favorite Book Genre: Nonfiction.
  • Favorite Comic Strip: Heart of the City by Mark Tatulli.
  • Favorite Cuisine: Italian, except when it’s Chinese American.
  • Favorite Drink: They say I’m addicted to Pepsi Cola. Not true. I’ve quit a number of times…
  • Favorite Fruit: Raspberries. Although one can't hold a candle to a really superb blackberry. But then, how often do you come across a really superb blackberry?
  • Favorite Impressionist Painter: American Mary Stevenson Cassatt. Love her cute domestic scenes more than the Frenchmen's stuff.
  • Favorite Musical Instrument: Piano. Why are you even asking?
  • Favorite Peanuts Character: Schroeder. He's such an adorable baby with his toy piano!
  • Favorite U.S. President: Thomas Jefferson. I remember being so thrilled, around age six, that a President had been named after my grandfather...
  • Favorite Woman in Science: Marie-Anne Pierette Paulze (Madame Lavoisier), the wife of famed Antoine Lavoisier. They were the first couple to do make beautiful chemistry together.
  • Giacomo Casanova: Excuse me, but they were obviously faking it.
  • Glocks: If I hear one more homeschool boy talk about his, I’ll scream!

  • JFK’s Assassination: Of all the conspiracy theories, I find the one about the Mafia the most convincing.
